Simple Tool with input of AICPIN - Expected DA from July 2015 and Jan 2016

Expected DA from July 2015 and Jan 2016 – Simple Tool with input of AICPIN

Expected DA from July 2015 – To wait for the month of June AICPIN data that will be released on July 31 to find out.

Expected DA from July to Dec 2015

What will the additional Dearness Allowance increase be from the month of July to Dec 2015? One has to wait for the AICPIN data for the month of June 2015 that will be released on July 31 to find out.

Central Government employees are not the only ones who are eagerly waiting to find out what the DA percentage hike will be from July to December 2015. Central Pensioners and employees of the banking sectors too are curious to know. Additionally, the employees are working under state governments are also covered in this circle.

It has almost been confirmed that there will be a 6% hike in DA this time. But, it will be absolutely confirmed once the June AICPIN statistics is revealed. The fluctuations of the June AICPIN is not expected to dramatically affect the fate of July’s DA hike, but it will have some impact on the DA hike that will be announced for January 2016.

AICPIN points for the Month of May to be Announced Tomorrow

AICPIN points for the month of May to be announced Tomorrow

“The Ministry of Labour will announce the ‘All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers’ for the month of May, tomorrow; AICPIN indicates the rise and fall of prices of essential commodities across important towns and cities in the country”.

After significant changes in the Agricultural and Rural AICPIN points in the month of May, there is tremendous curiosity regarding the AICPIN points for the industrial workers. The index of Agricultural and Rural AICPIN had increased by 6 and 7 points to 811 and 816 respectively.

CPI (IW) BY 2001=100 points indicate the fluctuation of prices of essential commodities. If the CPI (IW) points increase, it leads to an increase in the percentage of additional Dearness Allowance for Central Government employees and Pensioners.

If the AICPIN for the month of May increases by 4 points, then the Dearness Allowance for July could be higher by 7%. In other words, from 113%, it could go up to 120%.

The AICPIN points of each month are calculated on the basis of the fluctuations in the prices of 24 commodities, including rice and wheat, in 78 selected cities and towns. The CPI (IW) BY 2001=100 of this month is released towards the end of the following month.

The present method of calculation was recommended by the 6th Central Pay Commission. From 01.01.2016 onwards, it will be calculated based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Expected DA July 2015 – Simple and Accurate Calculator for CG Employees

Simple and Accurate Expected DA Calculator for CG Employees and Pensioners..!

“After the 6th Pay Commission, the curiosity to find out the rates of Dearness Allowance had increased considerably, because, until then, the raise was very minimal. After 2008, the DA graph continued to head north. At one point, the percentage had touched 10% twice.”

It has become very common nowadays to make predictions on Expected DA, which is issued to the Central Government employees and pensioners once every six months. Even a few years ago, ‘SWAMY’s NEWS’ was the only source of this information. Their monthly publication, ‘Swamysnews’ is their specialty. They usually contain all the latest Government Orders, Case-Law Section, Supreme Court Judgments, Tribunal Judgments, Question and Answer(Readers Forum) section and Expected DA.

After the 6th Pay Commission, many began to write about Dearness Allowance on their websites. Since the employees were also curious to know, readership for such articles and predictions continued to be high. Now, EXPECTED DA continues to be a very exciting phrase among Central Government employees.

How is the additional DA forecast made?

Calculating the Dearness Allowance is very simple. The method is fairly well known. Still, for the sake of the uninitiated, click here for the detailed methodology.

Dearness Allowance is calculated based on AICPIN (All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers by 2001 = 100) statistic index. Each month, the Ministry of Labour releases this number for the previous month. More than 70 cities and towns across India are selected and price-fluctuations of essential commodities are noted for an entire month. The reports are released as press release at the end of the following month.

Based on the AICPIN numbers of January-June and July to December, the Dearness Allowances are calculated. The first installment of Dearness Allowance is announced in January, based on the AICPIN numbers of the previous six months, i.e., from June to December of the previous year. The second installment is given in July, based on the AICPIN numbers of January to June.

We have created a calculator to find out the expected increase in DA. This Expected DA Calculator is simple, easy to use, and accurate. All you have to do is type in the expected (or desired) AICPIN numbers. When you enter the index, the calculator will give you the accurate percentage of DA increase for the month you have typed.

The calculator also shows you the total additional Dearness Allowance percentage and total DA and DR from July 2015.

The AICPIN data for the first three months of 2015 is now available. To find out the expected DA of July 2015, all you have to do is enter the expected (or desired) AICPIN values of the next three months.
The calculator is designed in such a way that you could also find out the approximate DA of January 2016. The recommendations of the 6th Pay Commission come to an end with this installment. The next Dearness Allowance with effet form 1.1.2016 will be calculated based on the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission.

Expected DA from January 2015 – The Next Episode Begins…

Expected DA from January 2015 – The Next Episode Begins…!

The Centre has announced a  hike of 7% Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for Central Government employees and Pensioners, with effect from July 2014 on 4th of this month. Soon, Finance Ministry will issue appropriate orders for payment of Dearness allowance to all. As and when orders are published by the Ministry of Finance, we will be posted in our website immediately.

According to the fluctuation of price index past six months from Jan to Jun 2014, the additional Dearness allowance has been arrived as 7% only. It seems there are a few employees who are unhappy with the single-digit number because until then they have been getting double-digit DA hikes.
